The costume maker explained that they used a mixture of wine and Rit dye to make the sleeveless jeans jacket and shorts to get a pleasing shade of red.

Resident Evil 2 was a major financial success, selling more than 6,114,370 units across PlayStation and Nintendo platforms around the world. The game sold more than four million copies in the first two weeks, which makes it one of the fast-selling Resident Evil titles in history.
