Chainsaw Man and Katana Man cosplayers post images of themselves dressed as the two characters while walking around a local mall and hitting McDonald’s.

The photos shared on Reddit show the two devil-human hybrids posing as best buddies while enjoying the sights at the outlet store of D-mop as well as McDonald’s. Cosplayers dress in costumes in the character of the series like Aki or Makima and wear their yellow contacts and topknots. Jasozi wrote in the blog post that the majority of Chainsaw Man’s outfit was constructed from PVC pipes and other random items. The head has a blade that can be detached that has a speaker small enough to play that famous chainsaw roar.

Jasozi posted the photos today, just as the Chainsaw Man anime dropped its season finale, which is titled “KATANA Vs. CHAINSAW.” The episode ended the manga’s “Katana Man” arc” which saw the protagonist Denji getting his rematch against the titular antagonist. MAPPA is not yet ready to announce a second season despite the anime’s positive reviews and fan reaction to favorable reviews. The popularity of the show and the faithfulness of the manga earned it a place on CBR’s list of the top series of 2022. There are still plenty of stories that the studio can cover in future episodes, including the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto currently in its 12th volume as of the moment of writing.
Chainsaw Man’s popularity has resulted in a wealth of cosplay. Jasozi is joined by several artists who have taken on the roles of popular characters. Cavin Creations’ grueling Chainsaw Man cosplay featured a trio of fully functional blades. Low-Cost Cosplay also revealed his cheeky Pochita getup that even got the interest of Shihei Lin, the editor of Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Man is about Denji, an anti-hero who receives the love of Pochita the Chainsaw Devil dog. He was left dead in a dumpster by his father’s mafia debt. Denji is now able to transform into Chainsaw Man. The ability to transform into Chainsaw Man tries to maintain a normal life while hunting devils in Japan’s Public Safety division. Denji is put in danger by Katana Man who is a devil hunter and devil hunter that is seeking the heart of the Chainsaw Devil.
Crunchyroll has the first season of Chainsaw Man available for streaming. VIZ Media distributes the manga in North America.
